Matador Hybrid Carbon is Luka Mladenovic’s blade, developed specifically around his playing style. It delivers high speed for topspin attacks with inverted rubbers, while remaining highly effective when paired with special rubbers. This OFF+ blade incorporates Hybrid Aramid Carbon beneath the outer ply on the forehand side and Texalium on the backhand side, while keeping the outer veneers unchanged for a firm yet responsive touch.
The result is a fast, stiff, and very direct feel, ideal for aggressive attacking play with both inverted and offensive pimpled-out rubbers. It handles controlled opening loops and powerful finishing shots with ease. The Hybrid Aramid Carbon on the forehand maximises speed and spin, while the Texalium on the backhand enhances control and stability.
Like the rest of the Matador series, it performs exceptionally well with pimpled-out and anti-spin rubbers, producing a low trajectory and strong spin reversal. This makes it equally suited for uncompromising power play and for disruptive, tactical use of special rubbers. The forehand side (with carbon fibers) is marked by the “Dr. Neubauer Matador Hybrid Carbon” lens, while the backhand side (with Texalium) features the “Luka Mladenovic” lens.
